What drives Edmonton prices
Edmonton is Alberta's refining hub, home to the Strathcona County refineries that supply the province. It sits at the northern end of Highway 2 and works as the gateway to the northern oil sands. As the provincial capital and a northern logistics anchor, Edmonton keeps a steady stream of trucks moving north and south. A city that refines its own fuel prices close to the source, so Edmonton runs on the cheaper side of the province. That makes it a dependable fill for any carrier heading up toward the oil sands or back down to Calgary.
